ABOUT US

We at ‘Like Maths’ love maths and we want to pass that love of maths on to children.  We aim to show children that maths can be fun. 

We want to encourage children away from screens for a bit.  Playing games together as a family provides opportunities for real communication, social interaction and develops turn taking and concentration.  When adults play alongside children key learning can be extended in a direction and at a pace suitable for that child.

We have searched and searched to find a selection of fun, engaging maths games that develop skills and understanding. 

Using our teaching experience and knowledge of the UK Primary School Curriculums, we indicate the age range that we feel is most appropriate for each product.  However, children develop at different rates, so please treat the age ranges as a guide only and take a look at games in the age category below and above as appropriate. If you need further advice, please don’t hesitate to contact the ‘Like Maths’ team.

In the unlikely event that you get it wrong and you end up buying something that is unsuitable, then return the unopened game to us and we will credit you so you can replace it with something else.

The Founder

As a primary school teacher with a maths and statistics degree, I have a passion for teaching maths.

I set up the company following requests from school parents, family and friends as to suitable ways to encourage, support or challenge their children in maths. 

Research and indeed my own experience shows that children learn best when they are having fun thus the idea for ‘Like Maths’ was born.

I hope our games provide a fun pathway to mathematical engagement, development and success for your child.
